CSK vs GT: Chennai Super Kings was the first team to reach the final of IPL 2023. Chennai made it to the final by winning by 15 runs against Gujarat Titans last Tuesday (May 23). This was the first match of the IPL 2023 playoffs. Changes were seen in the graphics in this match. Actually, instead of the dot ball that was being thrown in the match, instead of the dot ball, the emoji of the tree was visible. There is a very good initiative of BCCI behind this.
Commenting on the match, Harsha Bhogle and Simon Doull explained the reason behind this. Commentators said that these tree emojis are a symbol of the new environmental initiative from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The board has decided to plant 500 trees for every dot ball. That is, BCCI will plant trees in lieu of the number of dot balls that will be thrown in the playoff matches of IPL 2023. Now after the final of IPL 2023, it will be interesting to see how many dot balls are bowled.
BCCI has joined hands with Tata Group for this initiative. Both BCCI and Tata Group together will plant 500 trees on each dot. Earlier, it was said on behalf of Tata Motors that if any shot i.e. ball hits the Tata Tiago standing in the ground, then Tata will plant five lakh trees in return. So far in the season, Ruturaj Gaikwad of Chennai and Nihal Wadhera of Mumbai have hit shots that hit the car straight.
Please inform that Gaikwad had hit such a shot during the match played against Lucknow Super Giants, while Nihal Wadhera of Mumbai Indians had hit the car by hitting a shot in a match played against Royal Challengers Bangalore. A dent had also come on the car from this shot.
